SIGNATURE MASSAGE

The combination of Swedish and Deep Tissue massage is tailored to the concerns and needs of each client.  The traditional Swedish technique relaxes and promotes circulation while the concentrated pressure of Deep Tissue therapy releases muscle tension.  When integrated with stretching and Range of Motion exercises, the body and soul are elevated to extraordinary new levels.

SWEDISH

Swedish massage includes a variety of long, gliding strokes, kneeding, friction, tapping, shaking, and vibration.  Typically, pressure is moderate to allow the muscles to relax.  It is effective for many ailments, and produces a positive effect on all layers and systems of the body.  It affects the nerves, muscles, glands, circulation, and promotes health and well-being.

DEEP TISSUE

Deep tissue massage is designed to reach the deep portions of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers.  Using deep muscle compression and friction along the grain of the muscle, its purpose is to unstick the fibers of the muscles and release both toxins and deeply held patterns of tension.

PREGNANCY MASSAGE

Pregnancy is a time of major structural, physiological, psychological, spiritual, and social changes.  Massage during this special time focuses on the specific needs of the mother-to-be as her body changes during this experience.  This nurturing, therapeutic treatment can help alleviate the discomforts and overall fatigue often associated with pregnancy and can increase the expectant mother's awareness.

SPORTS MASSAGE

This form of massage is typically performed before or after athletic events to prepare athletes for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, relieve swelling, reduce muscle tension, promote flexibility, and prevent injury.  A variety of techniques are used including compression, Swedish strokes, cross fiber friction, pressure-point work, stretching, and joint mobilization.

CHAIR MASSAGE

Chair massage works great when there is limited time and only a 5-20 minute session is allowed.  You are massaged fully clothed in a specifically designed chair that allows the therapist to focus on key areas of the body, typically known for holding stress such as the neck, shoulders, and arms.

THAI MASSAGE

This ancient technique which has been practiced for thousands of years, includes yoga-like stretching techniques and uses acupressure points and rhythmic pressure along the body’s meridian lines to unblock and stimulate the flow of energy.  Thai massage provides deep stimulation of muscles and joint areas while improving flexibility and range of motion.
